Hello beautiful soul,
Magical things are happening over here in the land of having big ideas and making them come to life…
Here I am driving a 7 ft painting to be dropped off for a show and sale. ā„

Last weekend, I closed down my whole street and hosted a big street party on the road. An idea –> reality.
Monday, I represented myself in landlord/tenant court, and the other person’s lawyer didn’t show up! I asked great questions, and get the results later this week. Certainty that I would be okay –> reality.
Later, my friend Kevin helped me drop off two gorgeous pieces of art to the Pride Art Show for set up. One of these is called Worship, and it came to me in bits and pieces… most of which felt TOTALLY WEIRD. I laughed a lot at the concept, and squealed as it all came together and looked SO good. It’s a gold and shiny vulva-inspired plaster piece completely drenched in pearls and shine (see… even the description is kind of hard to conceptualize, right?. But… trust and movement –> reality.
Do you see the theme here? It’s all coming down to certainty and movement. Certainty that the next right thing will become apparent and it will ALL end up just as it should be. Did I do all I could? Am I doing all I can? I’m not responsible for bends and twists along the way! I just need to keep the car on the road (movement!), and the destination is always ahead.
I told you last time that I’m here as an Artist.
Artist with a capital A.
Artist the title.
Artist the job description.
Artist.
Period.
The only way this works for me is if I am certain that it’s going to work. Certainly feels wild in a world when we are taught to fear everything, but it truly means I’m free. If I am certain that everything always works out, then even when it appears as though it isn’t working out, I know behind the scenes I’ll end up exactly where I need to be. I’m certain and THAT creates real things in the world.
Another magical part of my reality right now is that I’m currently in TWO art shows at the same time!
Would you like to see Worship and BEING HUMAN: loved in person? These will be on display at the Pride Art Show in London, Ontario, at the TAP Gallery until July 19th along side many of my friends pieces and one of my daughters (her first show!). The Pride Art Show was the first event where I ever displayed my art publicly, and it has a special place in my heart both for that and because it is such a unique reflection of artwork in many different techniques. If you come by, I’m giving little mini art prints to everyone… and I definitely have one for you!

Art Comp at 100 Kellogg Lane is on until September with 100 fantastic pieces of art throughout the building, including mine The Coral Is Still Alive. It’s not often that a painting brings its name to me before it is complete, but The Coral Is Still Alive told me its name before it was even halfway finished! As I danced with this name, the Coral really did come alive, and I was invited to trust the process and follow the movement over, and over again. A multitude of colours, movement, and marks bring to mind the deep, delightful and beautiful coral reefs that are fighting to come back… and succeeding in many places. This painting is a dance of dark and light, reminding us that we can still thrive and come alive even when things are seeming to be dark. We’re still alive – and so is the coral.
If you’ve read this far, could you hit REPLY and tell me what you’re moving towards lately and bringing into reality? Do you feel certain or is it hard to trust? I LOVE your stories, and am always blessed to hear from you!
Much love,
Alexis
